Navigator Training

Doug Ward
So, what does a Microlight Flying Instructor do in his spare time? Well, I like to take those, who don't want to be a Pilot, flying, and I call them Navigators. If you would like to become a Navigator I will teach you how to share the workload of a flight, you will obviously learn how to Navigate, you can learn how to operate the Radio, some Air Law, Meteorology. Oh yes, and you will also be the Photo Reconnaissence Officer!
With a GO-Pro mounted below the aircraft acting as a Targeting System, when the Target is displayed on the I-Pad you take the shot, and if your photo is not of the target, then your navigation skills require more practice.

Navigator Flight School is designed for those who like to fly, yet are looking for more than just another Air Experience Flight, but are not quite ready to go through the rigours of becoming a Pilot/Aircraft Owner. Being a Navigator is still a big challenge, you will learn new skills, you can practice those skills, and when you are ready, you will join 333sqn, and test your skills at

“Photo Reconnaissance is not a joyride, we don’t deliver, we just take. We can only fly during the day, it is this that makes us brave, and different from the rest. Our only cover is speed, low level, and most of all, exact calculations. No one ever wants to go back for a second photo shoot, not now they know we’re here.”
